Prism Refraction Analysis

Client: Hypersonic Art and Design

Collaborator: Local Projects

This project involved a refraction analysis for the "Prism" pavilion at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. The prisms are arranged at different angles on the structure's shell. Using Snell's Law of Refraction, our objective was to develop a script to simulate the patterns produced at different times of the year and with various prism arrangements.
