Robot Arm control for construction

Robotic Arm Construction

Research and Design: By Yevgeny Koramblyum

Additional Help: Siming Mei

We are exploring the intersection of robotics and construction through a research initiative that uses robotic arms to enhance efficiency, precision, and safety in construction.

Our first project demonstrated the potential of robotic arms in "brick laying." We programmed the robots to accurately place bricks, showcasing how automation can reduce labor costs and time while improving quality and consistency.

Building on this, our second project involved two robotic arms collaborating to fabricate complex space-frame nodes. This effort highlighted the efficiency and precision achievable through robotic teamwork, surpassing human capabilities in intricate tasks.

These projects illustrate our commitment to integrating robotics into construction, paving the way for future innovations in the industry.
