Artist: Hypersonic Art and Design

Client: Weeber State University, Ogden, Utah

We worked with Hypersonic Art and Design on the winning entry for a kinetic sculpture for the atrium of the Weeber State. The sculpture consists of a series of folding Tyvek fans. Each fan has two types of motion: opening and rotating. With the two motions in series, we were able to construct an array of animations.

This animation tries to convey laminal flow using a combination of sine waves and attractors.
